SUMMARY

Harry Potter is spending his summer holidays with the Dursleys when he meets Dobby, a house-elf, who warns him not to go to Hogwarts. The young wizard refuses, the house-elf drops a large pudding in the Dursleys' kitchen and Harry is punished for it. The Dursleys lock him in his room, but soon afterwards he is freed by Ron and his twin brothers and is taken to The Burrow in an enchanted flying car.
School days pass quickly. Inside the castle Harry is the only person who hears a mysterious voice threatening to kill. After a Halloween party, Mrs Norris the cat is found Petrified. The students are scared; everyone is talking about the Chamber of Secrets and the monster within.
The boys find out that the monster’s victim could be Moaning Myrtle, now a wraith in the toilets.
During a visit to Hermione, Ron and Harry find a piece of paper in her hand bearing the word ‘basilisk’. Their friend had discovered the identity of the real monster. The teachers panic when Ginny Weasley is abducted, and they send the students home.
Ron and Harry decide it is time to act, Ron and Harry are separated, and Harry decides to enter the chamber alone.

PERSONAL REVIEWS

Another masterstroke by J.K .I really can’t believe how one can make a totally new world?!I  really enjoyed the book a lot and couldn’t keep the book down. I was totally mesmerized by the book and wished I just got to know what was going to happen next. The characters are really amazing and our protagonist has been shown simple not some hero pre-loaded with a lot of powers. I would rate the book 5 stars out of 5.

SUMMARY

At the beginning of the novel, Harry Potter is living in a cupboard under the stairs, suffering appalling maltreatment at the hands of the Dursley family, to whose care he was confided as an infant following the death of his parents; his mother was Mrs. Dursley’s sister. On his eleventh birthday, however, it is revealed to him, despite the Dursleys’ best efforts, that he has inherited magical abilities and is scheduled for education in wizardry at Hogwarts Academy, a key pillar of the British magical community, which lives in strict covert isolation from untalented “muggles.”
Having obtained essential equipment from the magical mall in Diagon Alley, Harry catches the Hogwarts Express from platform nine and three-quarters at King’s Cross Station and is carried away to his new life. He finds that his reputation has preceded him to Hogwarts. While still preconscious in his cradle, he survived a magical assault by the infamous dark wizard Voldemort. Hats off  to JK Rowling for this amazing book. She has created a totally new world in this book and that really is a tedious task. The book has an amazing starting and has suspense and turns at every page. I really loved reading the book and was really delighted to read the i.e. would really suggest each and every person in this world to read the book. Read the book first and then watch the movie as a book is always better than a movie. I would rate the book 5 stars out of 5 and no doubt I won’t give any part of  this series less than 4.75 stars

Personal Reviews

Ok another book on gods but this time Norse!! Really can't believe there are so many types of gods of different civilizations. Moving on I really like the plot of the book and the story is well written. But I am angry too as to write this book Rick poorly wrote the ending of blood of Olympus. Well you have to lose something for a gain and this is just a perfect book. The life of Magnus has a nice start but what one expects is the hero of a book lives, but in this book our hero dies in the first 50 pages of the book!!!

It's a really nice way to keep your readers to stick to the book, but serious protagonist of book dies so soon and he has so many books to be published in. For the early death and interesting plot of the book I rate it 5 stars out of 5.

The five remaining demigods: Jason Grace, Piper McLean, Leo Valdez, Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque, accompanied by Nico di Angelo and Coach Hedge, continue to set sail towards Greece aboard the flying warship, Argo II, to search for the Doors of Death and possibly save Percy and Annebeth along the way.On the other hand Percy and Annebeth must survive the pit of death- TARTURUS itself and close the doors from the other side. What they don't know is that the all the enemies they have killed so far will now come hunting for them. Will they be able to survive and close the Doors of Death or will this will be their doom?......

MY REVIEW

To me this has been the best of Rick so far.. It has emotion, drama, action and everything you want in a book. I couldn't have asked for more.. Eagerly waiting for the next part.. Hope it lives up to its expectations..

SUMMARY
The seven demigods continue their journey through Greece.They learn that the Giant's army does not plan to invade Mount Olympus as expected, but the Acropolis in Athens, where most of them have gathered. Since the Gulf of Corinth is heavily fortified and guarded by the Giant's army, the demigods have no choice but to circle the whole Peloponnese to reach Athens. On the other hand, Reyna, nico and coach hedge are on their way to Camp Halfblood with the Athena Parthenos as a symbol of peace between the Greek and Roman camps. But they don't know that an expert hunter is on their tail....
Will they be able to return the Athena Parthenos and will the SEVEN be able to stop the Giants from waking Gaia?....

MY REVIEW
Well I had pretty high expectations for this book as all the others had been amazing, but this book didn't live up to its hype. I think Rick got too engrossed in his new series of Vikings that he didn't give much thought to this ending. The ending is simply disastrous and one can easily understand that the author was in a hurry to finish this series...
I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

PERSONAL REVIEWS
The book is really amazing and it has really been well written. Every emotion has been mixed by James in the final installment of the Maze Runner Trilogy. There is action, drama, less romance but yes there is some. The book has some really interesting parts which really makes us stick to the book and continue further. After so many tests the final part and the epilogue is really fantastic.
I rate the book 5 out of  5.

SUMMARY
The Hunger Games takes place in a nation known as Panem, established in North America after the destruction of the continent's civilization by an unknown apocalyptic event. The nation consists of the wealthy Capitol and twelve surrounding, poorer districts united under the Capitol's control. District 12, where the book begins, is located in the coal-rich region that was formerly known as Appalachia.

As punishment for a past rebellion against the Capitol, in which a 13th district was destroyed, one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district are selected by an annual lottery to participate in the Hunger Games, an event in which the participants, the "tributes", must fight to the death in an outdoor arena controlled by the Capitol, until only one individual remains. The story is narrated by 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen, a girl from District 12 who volunteers for the 74th annual Hunger Games in place of her younger sister, Primrose. The male tribute along her is Peeta Mallark. Will this be an another ordinary HUNGER GAMES or is it the start of the end......

PERSONAL REVIEWS
Well according to me, this book has been a blockbuster. It has all the right amount of romance, drama, action and comedy mixed into it. I was glued onto it from the beginning and it kept me in the edge of the seat every time..... However I just didn't like one thing.... That was the names... Like who names a boy a Peeta!!For a Hindi knowing person the name is damn comical But then also I would like to give a 4.75 rating.

SUMMARY

Mark of Athena opens with Annabeth travelling to Camp Jupiter. Camp Jupiter is similar to Camp Half-Blood except the residents are descendants of Roman gods and not Greek ones. Annabeth is travelling with several other campers, including Leo Valdez, Gleeson Hedge, Jason Grace, and Piper Mclean.
At the feast, both camps discuss the Prophecy of Seven, with Annabeth trying to convince Camp Jupiter that it means both Greeks and Romans need to work together in order to close the Doors of Death. At the same time, Reyna privately talks with Annabeth, telling her that she believes the Romans and Greeks should work together.
Piper has a vision and sees a number of unsettling images, including a man in purple next to a Topeka road sign. The group decides to travel to Topeka to speak with Bacchus. Bacchus is none too pleased to see them, but Piper tells him about her vision. This calms him down somewhat, but he tells them he doesn’t want to be part of their quest, as he no longer considers himself a demigod. He does give them information, telling them to seek out Phorcys for information on Gaea.
They decide to follow Bacchus’s advice and search for Phorycs.
Percy gets Phorcys to talk about Ephialtes and Otis, the giants whom the group has to defeat and also gets him to talk about a prisoner, Nico, which they were using as bait for the group. Percy informs everyone that they need to find a map that leads to the Athena Parthenos in Rome.

From here the journey of the 7 teenagers continues.

PERSONAL REVIEWS

The book is really interesting and even the plot is really good. This time the real star of the book is Annabeth and her intelligence has been showcased perfectly. In this part Nico di Angelo returns but in quiet a weak form and as a bait. This is another superb part in the series of Heroes of Olympus.

I will rate the book 4.75 stars out of 5.

SUMMARY

Percy Jackson is a Greek demigod who has lost his memory and wandered into a Roman demigod training camp. His father is Neptune, the Roman sea god. Also known as Poseidon, the Greek sea god. Percy has been in the wilderness for some time under the protection of Luna, the goddess protector of Rome. However, he has been led to Camp Jupiter by the goddess Juno who has a plan in mind for Percy. Unfortunately, he won't find out what that plan is until after he has once again proven he is a hero.
Percy can't remember his past and isn't certain what his future will be. When he arrives at Camp Jupiter, he is assisted by two new friends who take him under their wing. Frank and Hazel are outcasts at Camp Jupiter. They know what it is like to be an outsider and both consider it their duty to help Percy adjust. Each also has their own demons to fight and past to overcome. Before any of them have a chance to gain their footing, they are selected to go on a quest to rescue Death from the giant Alcyoneus who is hiding deep in Alaska. Uncertain of their skills and sure that they will not survive the trio, they embark on the test of their lives.
The goddess Gaea has a plan to destroy the gods and the world along with them. She has created seven children, all of whom are giants. Each of these giants is matched to fight a god who is an enemy. Each giant has the skills to oppose one god and they can only be defeated if the gods and the demigods join forces. This is not an easy task. Percy and his friends manage to defeat the Alaskan giant and save Camp Jupiter from destruction. During their journey, Hazel and Frank become true heroes who know how to use their powers and have self-confidence. Percy regains his memory and helps them save the day.

PERSONAL REVIEWS
The plot of Heroes of Olympus is really amazing. There are two camps that no one knew of, it’s really great to know a bit more of history but this time the Roman History. Romans have been shown really strong and powerful and Percy is just the perfect match for there. Only thing I hated was that Percy had to lose his invincibility (Achilles’ heel).
Being another great sequel I would give the book 4.75 stars out of 5.
