SUMMARY
Harvard University professor Robert Langdon
wakes up in a hospital with a head wound and no memory
of the last few days. His last memory is walking on the Harvard campus, but he
quickly realizes that he is now in Florence.
Sienna Brooks, one of the doctors attending him, tells him he suffered a
concussion from being grazed by a bullet and had stumbled into the emergency
ward. Suddenly, Vayentha, a female assassin who has been following Robert,
breaks into the hospital, shoots the doctor in charge of Robert's care, and
approaches Robert's room. Sienna grabs Robert and they flee to her apartment.
Zobrist a mad scientist has created a virus of which the world knows nothing.
It has the power to do something that can create devastation on earth. Zobrist
has been inspired my Dante’s Inferno and has done all his work.
Robert has to save the world from this virus before it is released.
PERSONAL REVIEWS
Oh yet again Dan Brown starts with the suicide of Zobrist in
the epilogue. Seriously? Can’t Dan live with everyone alive? Okay coming on to the
book. The book has a very interesting plot and has been related to Dante’s
Seven Rings of Hell so perfectly that a person really believes that something
like a hell does exist. Our protagonist Robert Langdon has a very difficult
task in the book and he does not know what awaits him ahead. The ending is not
as one would expect but is so brilliant and amazing that the person is really
sad to keep down the book. The book has such amazing turns in it that cause the
jaw to hang out open in the air for seconds. Adapting to the new scenario is
tough compared to what you believed and thought the story ahead would be.
I would rate the book 4.75 out of 5.It would definitely had
been given 5 but you see after reading The Da Vinci Code I can’t give it a 5
star rating.
